RESTON, VA -- IPTV company Avail Media has received $17 million in series B financing from two venture capital firms.

Avail provides managed content services through a fully integrated head end infrastructure for the profitable deployment of IP video.  Its customers are telecom carriers and Internet Service Providers.

The round was co-led by Novak Biddle Venture Partners and Columbia Capital.  Avail was formed by the merger of Auroras Entertainment and Broadstream Communications earlier this year.  The company intends to use the funding proceeds to expand its suite of services and hire additional personnel for operations and technology development.
